The artist
Mano González
Self-taught Spanish artist, based in Dubai. Among friends he signs as ChefBurger.

Mano González plays with color and balance, and he puts positive messages and everyday phrases into his work. He paints, makes prints and sculptures, works in digital and paints on walls. His language mixes pop art, expressionism and street culture.
He learned on his own. His references are Alex Katz, Bernard Buffet, Andy Warhol, Basquiat and Miró. His work has been shown in Dubai, Tokyo, Monaco, Miami and France, and it lives in private collections.
In Dubai he painted a 400 m² mural, and his works hang at ME Dubai, the hotel designed by Zaha Hadid. He has been featured in the Khaleej Times.
His main subject is the Mona Lisa. In Live of Monalisa and LIMITLESS she wears a balaclava, a racing helmet, a Forbes cover and a carnival mask, and each time she tells a new story.
In his words
“Art cannot be criticized, because each mistake is a new creation.”
“Art does not need permission to exist.”
